Description

A high quality Mathematical set by W H Harling, London. The figured walnut box opens to reveal a regal purple interior with fitted mathematical instruments, the top tray lifts out to reveal further mathematical accompanying tools. Excellent antique condition throughout, retaining the original lock and key. Circa 1880.

1851 Harling founded the firm at 47 Finsbury Pavement, London. They specialised in making drawing instruments, with a factory at Grosvenor Works, Hackney, London EC.
