Attrib. to George Armfield this very good 19th Century portrait of a pair of Terriers Ratting. Tight Brush work, subject all indicate a work by George Armfield and not Thomas Armfield whose brush work was not quite as tight.Armfield was renowned for his dog portraiture and is very much in demand on both sides of the Atlantic.
