Wayside Mews Collectables

Description

Sir Isaac Pitmans Phonetic Shorthand Certificate presented to J H Bouer on the 15th July 1872 of Sweden. The Certificate is signed by Sir Isaac, using his Phonetic Signature, 'Eisak Pitman'.

The Certificate was most certainly printed at the Pitman Press, Phonetic Institute and Central Printing Office, Albion Place, Lower Bristol Road, Bath, The Certificate has a very elaborate embossed border and is printed Letterpress. The Embossing must have been by one of the noted embossers of the time.
