Description

Rare Victorian Knife Work Card. The card was created by Emma Cross in 1859 and was made by cutting just under the surface of the card with a sharp knife and in this case, Watercolour was added to the rose and rose buds.
Emma may have produced the card as a Valentine or as a Visiting/Calling Card, or simply as a form of artwork.
(Black background just to show the outline of the card)
