Auctioneers Sales Notice/Handbill and Conditions of Sales on reverse dated 13th April, 1840. The Auctioneers were auctioning Oak & Ash Timer and Meadow Hay.
The handbill has the purchasers lots and how the purchaser Mr Haynes paid. A deposit of £21.3.0 followed at 3 months by £59.18.6 and again after 6 months, making the purchase price £141.00. The handbill is in half, as the auctioneer or Mr Hayes had the other half as their receipt.
As with the larger Sale Posters, the handbill is jobbing printed, showing many different typefaces(20). Printed Letterpress by Mr R R Ede of Dorking.
