Theatre Royal, Cote Street, Montreal, Canada Playbill of circa 1852. A Complimentary Benefit to Mrs Buckland nee Kate Horn (1826 Ireland - 1896 Montreal). Kate was an accomplished American Actress. She married Mr John Wellington Buckland a Banker/Financier in 1852 in New York, where with his partner Mr W Corbyn, he managed the New York Lyceum Theatre. They were invited to direct The Theatre Royal, Montreal, in 1852 and accepted.
Kate was an instant success in Montreal and played with some of the most influential actors of her time.
The Playbill is printed in Woodtype and Metal Type.

The bottom of the Playbill is incomplete. We believe that it may have been placed in an album hence cutting the bottom to fit. However, a rare item and is priced accordingly.
