Description
Victorian In-Memoriam Card of 1886. This very unusual In-Memoriam Card relating to the drowning of a young merchant sailer on 3rd of March 1886. The Smack Sailing Vessels were used to bring fish from Ports to Markets.The card is Embossed with Letterpress verse. Printed by J T Wood.
The card has a white border with black back ground giving the effect of a die-cut card.
(To show the white border,have placed the card onto another black card to show the outline - not apart of the card)
