King Edward VII Light-and-Shade Watermark - circa 1910. This work of Art Watermark showing Edward in full Regalia. When held to the light the image is in Black & White and very visable. The second image is purely there as an example as is similar to the Light-and-Shade Watermark, showing the Black and White image of King Edward VII. However, the Light-and-Shade Watermark Image shows Ribbons to Edwards Epaulettes and also shows a chain of office.
Printers unknown. Printed onto hand made paper. This item would be well placed into a double glass frame with lighting behind).

The Process is produced from a Low Relief Wax Model. Male & Female Plates are made from the Wax by the Electrotype Process and the plates are used to imprint the image on a fine wire gauze.
