Wayside Mews Collectables

Description

Congreve Security Two Colour Printed Swedish Tax Stamp dated 1855. Has nice Watermark date of 1854 plus two small Swedish Crowns either side of the date Watermark, to the right hand side. Also has the Letters R. ST. CH. SIG - TUMBA. The paper was made and Watermarked at Tumba, the Swedish Security Paper Company for Bank Notes, Duty Stamps, Stamps.
Most probably printed in England by Charles Whiting.
(Pink colour on image is due to the scanning process, the paper is clean and the black border is not apart of the Duty Stamp, but purely to show the outline of the paper)
