Description
Wood Engraved Paper Ream Label by J Green & Son, Hayle Mill, Maidstone Kent. The Green family procuded fine hand made art paper at Hayle Mill from 1813 to 1987. The label is printed from a Boxwood Engraveinmg. This wood engraved design was first used in the 1870's. Acurately dating the label is not possible, so we classified as Vintage.When touching the label you can feel the indentation from the boxwood block engraving.
