Description

Apprentice Indenture between Thomas Atwood of Sussex , apprenticed to Henry Davis of Brighton also of the County of Sussex, to learn the art of being a Whitesmith, Locksmith, Bell Hanger and General Ironmonger, dated 22nd April 1843.

Printed Letterpress and Handwritten onto vellum. Has a blue attached embossed duty stamp for One Pound, plus a six pence duty franking. The three wax seals of Thomas Atwood, George Atwood and Henry Davis.
(A Whitesmith was a person who worked in white metal and pewter)
