Description

This is a large black Chinese cloisonne brush bowl decorated with dragons and bearing a four character mark on the underside for Tongzhi (1862-1874) in the Qing Dynasty. The outside of the bowl depicts two dragons flying over water and chasing a burning pearl, while a single large dragon surrounding a burning pearl covers the interior.

Dimensions: Diameter 30 cm x Height 9 cm
The 750ml bottle of water used as a scale in the last photograph is the same size as a standard bottle of wine.
Weight 1.95 kg

Condition: The bowl is in fine antique condition without either dents or losses to the enamel. There are some fine prick marks to the interior, presumably from use.
