DESCRIPTION:

This is a stunning vintage set of school/institution drawers made by the much sought after designer James Leonard for Esavian Education Supply Association dating from the 60s/70s. The unit has its original ESA red embossed logo to the front plinth. The unit has 20 drawers of beech with unique cut out handles and dovetail joints. The carcass is painted white that is not a pure white, but a slight off white framed within a beech frame also painted the white which is very complimentary to the colour of the beech drawers. The unit stands on a darker open base with tapering legs. This are a stunning mid-century piece of classic timeless style that will look great in many settings and have many practical uses with the amount of storage the piece has to offer. This set of school drawers has everything going for it the paint colour contrasting with the beech, the size, the classic style and the fact that this type of style never dates. It would look absolutely stunning in a Lounge, dining room, study, office or hobby or craft studio.

WORKSHOP REPORT:
This set of school drawers is in lovely condition all joints tight and ready to give many years of visual, enjoyable and practical years of use. The drawers have been stripped of the white paint and restored back to the beech. There is some slight bubbling to one side of the unit nothing we in the workshop felt required attention.
