Description

This exquisite and very graceful mid-19th C. Italian terra cotta sculpture depicts Venus and cupid, on an oval platform base. It is a well-proportioned and highly detailed sculpture, inscribed ‘Venere ed Amore al Gagnio’ and is also signed A. A. The work measures approximately 13 ¼ in – 33.6 cm wide, 9 in – 22.8 cm deep and 18 ½ in – 47 cm in height.
