The lid is fitted with a delightful needlepoint decoration which features forget-me-nots and roses on golden material which is sheer enough for the golden tin foil background placed underneath it to shimmer as the light catches the lid. The gilt lacquered brass gleams and will remain tarnish free. The catches and hinges work well. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The inner lid is signed KIGU. Measures 6.3 cm diameter. Weighs 58.4 grams.
