A rare Jazz Age/Flapper style handbag which is an example of the `transitional' purses, dating to 1915-1925 from the `Bakelite era' - a man-made plastic, most likely `casein' or `erinoid' type. The interior is lined with silk with an attached celluloid mirror which slots into one of the pockets.Date1920s :
