Gorgeous Samuel Alcock Imari Cup & Saucer c.1830

Description
A very pretty porcelain teacup and saucer by Samuel Alcock, bell shaped with a French loop shaped handle with moulded twist detail and shaped flared rim with moulded circles, rings and vine leaves running around the edge. Hand painted in a bright imari style with underglaze blue and shades of peachy red and rich gilding. Workman's mark inside the footrim, c.1825-1830.The cup measures 9.8cm (3 7/8") wide and 5.5cm (2 3/16") high to the rim and the saucer is 14.8cm (5 13/16") wide.
In excellent condition: the cup has a very short hairline just to the left of the handle. No other damage or repair. Some understandable gilt wear to the centre of the saucer and very minor handling wear otherwise.
