This wonderful piece of engineering is practically the definition of a regulator. The high quality of the substantial plates, all wheelwork having six crossings, jewelled pallets and every single wheel having end stops to each arbor, keeping the wheels aligned perfectly for the greater accuracy of timekeeping.
