Vintage Chinese Silk Brocade Jacket

Description
This is a beautiful vintage jacket of Chinese silk which is fully reversible. One one side the silk is black with red chrysanthemums and Chinese symbols and on the other it is red with the same design of fabric.It has a mandarin collar and this and the facings on the front, the pockets and the hem bear a band of quilting in a meandering pattern. It fastens edge to edge in traditional Chinese fashion with black toggles designed as lotuses. It is fully reversible (including the pockets) and I think has never been worn. The standard of workmanship is high and it is beautifully made.

Bust (measured flat) 38 inches (96 cms.)
Outside sleeve shoulder to cuff 21 inches (53 cms.)
Length from top of shoulder to hem 26 inches (66 cms.)
