Edward Hughes1832-1908
London born artist, who specialised in portrait painting.
Hughes exhibited 36 paintings at the Royal Academy. His first Royal Commission was Queen Mary in 1895, and this painting remains in the Royal Collection.
This portrait is a fine example, in excellent condition. Recently cleaned & varnished, in original gilt frame.
