Description

You cannot help but be enchanted by this superb antique mid 18th century Diamond solitaire ring.

A beautifully crafted piece with elements of the Rococo revival style, the scrolling and delicately shaped gold band featuring an off white and black enamelling all the way round the band.

The romantic twinkling rose cut diamond set into a closed back setting with a silver front, the diamond has an approx 0.40ct, these alluring old cuts are always painstakingly hand cut to twinkle and glint in the candlelight.

The band style was usually a very popular choice for mourning rings but this has no engraving showing, possibly re-enamelled so may hold an inscription beneath.

This is a magical and evocative piece, perfect for the collector of early jewels or it would make a wonderful gift or alternative engagement ring.
