Description

Superb Edwardian Windsor armchair made from oak and elm in original, untouched condition. The hooped top rail and gently curved arms are supported by beautifully turned spindles and a pierced central splat, flowing into a saddle shaped seat that beautifully reveals the elm’s warm tones and natural grain. Raised on four turned legs joined by an H stretcher, the chair is structurally sound and stands firm, with no looseness or wobble. Minor age-related marks are present, as expected, and only serve to enrich the patina and character of this timeless piece. A classic example of Edwardian craftsmanship—elegant in its simplicity and full of rustic charm. Ideal for a country kitchen, hallway, or as a decorative accent in any traditional or eclectic interior.
