Description

An exceptional French gueridon from the 19th century, presented in superb condition and showcasing the elegance of period craftsmanship. The circular black and white marble top features a wide moulded edge and concentric rings, intended to prevent spills from running over the sides. The marble rests upon a boldly carved, bulbous central column, which rises from a finely sculpted tri-form base adorned with acanthus scrolls and terminating in robust paw feet, each set on original brass castors. The wood retains a rich, polished patina that beautifully offsets the cool refinement of the marble. Both decorative and functional, this piece offering timeless sophistication to any home.
