A magnificent bronze sculpture by Pierre Louis Détrier, depicting a shepherdess with lambs, in excellent condition and featuring exquisite patination. The shepherdess is beautifully detailed, with striking facial features and intricate craftsmanship in her attire. This remarkable piece rests on a bronze base, complete with the artist's signature and a plaque displaying the title of the work.

Pierre Louis Détrier (French, 1822–1897) was born in Vougécourt, France, on July 25th, 1822. A student of Paul Raymond Gayrard, he debuted at the Salon in 1866 and earned recognition for his exceptional creations in bronze, clay, and marble.
