Description
A stunning quality silver plated double inkwells do pen rest by James Deakin & sons of Sheffield. Circa 1880 this very good quality piece come with its original glass liners with hinged lids. The centre piece depicts a greyhound or similar breed, the detail on the fur is of a really high standard. Round the edge of the inkwell is heavily decorated with a mixture of floral, stars and droplets. The pen rest has a wood effect finish.The base sits on four spherical balls
