A Georgian style fine quality heavy silver English stilton scoop circa 1960

This beautifully made Georgian style solid silver stilton scoop is a copy of one of the most complicated and desirable designs for a stilton scoop available. It has a fine hand turned hardwood handle finished with a shaped and stepped ferrule attached to the stem and a raised sliding mechanism used to push the cheese of the trowel-shaped end, making this tool a pleasure and very attractive to the eye.

This fine piece of silver is boldly hallmarked, Sheffield 1972.
