A pair of early Carlton Ware enamelled and gilt floral vases, circa 1900

This most unusual pair of delicately decorated early Carlton Ware vases was made at the English Stoke on Trent factory. These pleasing vases are of a rare pattern and one that I have never seen before. They have a bulbous form with a shaped tall flared neck. The vases are boldly decorated with four vertical dark blue stripes with cream panels between them. The vases have delicate lace effect gilding throughout which have been further decorated and enhanced with bright enamelling and hand painted flowers in rich colours. This pleasing pair of English vases is in very good condition with no repairs or restoration. Circa 1900
