A Superb 19th Century French Portico Clock

Description

This fine example of a French Portico Clock is top quality and made circa 1830.
It has a 14-day movement striking on the hour and half-hour on a delicate sounding bell. The movement is in good serviced condition and is housed in a fine rosewood and marquetry case with bandings and stringing in boxwood.
The mounts, pendulum, and bezel are fire gilt bronze that is finely cast. The dial is in a marvelous original silvered condition with engraved numerals, also the clock has its original key.
