Description

Stunning and rare Arts & Crafts three fold carved oak screen attributed to the Keswick school of Industrial Arts.
Each panel depicts a tree of life , one for each country at the turn of the century when Wales was not a separate country.
So the thistle for Scotland, the shamrock for Ireland and the rose for England.
The workmanship is exquisite with each piece of oak carefully chosen for its grain.
To the top it is beautifully finished with a row of pierced hearts.
Offered in excellent condition.
Height 74cms. Each panel is 36cms wide.
