Japanese Meiji Lacquered and Gilded Buddha Shrine

Description
This a very nice example of a mid 19th century travelling shrine. The Japanese Meiji period shrine is modelled as a carved wooden Buddha seated upon a throne, his slippers upon a jade green cushion. It is lacquered and beautifully hand gilded and decorated with very nice detail. The shrine is in excellent order with only very slight rubbing to the gilding.This is 15 cms in height and can be delivered fully insured within the UK for £14.
