Description

This is a pair of beautifully carved Chinese hardwood panels which date from the early 19th century. Each panel has a snarling four clawed dragon wonderfully carved in great detail. The panels also have Chinese writing and other symbols carved. There are signs of old worm in one (long gone) but the panels are in remarkable condition due to their being hardwood and have a lovely patina to them. These are very dramatic decorative pieces and would look great hung above a door or on any wall. The panels are a good size measuring 92 cms by 22 cms.
