Description

This is a beautiful lacquered 19th century Chinese lidded temple jar with hand painted detail depicting scrolling lotus throughout the body of the piece. The jar is a superb, deep carmine red ground with delightful hand painted black and gilt detailing to the design. The jar and lid are in perfect condition and the imposing piece is a good size, measuring 45cms high and 28 cms in diameter.
