Description

This is a really good quality large Victorian deep cushion frame in excellent original condition with it's original gilding in super order.

The heavy solid wood cushion frame has attractive gilt gesso moulding with Laurel leaf detailing and acanthus leaf to the corners.

The original gilt finish has a lovely colour and antique patina.

The substantial frame is a fine size at 103 cms by 78 cms overall.

The aperture measurement is 83 cms by 60 cms.

The rebate for the canvas at the back measures 85 cms by 85 cms.

This has a removable gilt slip which if taken out would create an aperture of 87.5 cms by 62.5 cms and a rebate of 65 cms by 90 cms.
