Description
This is a good large 19th century carving of Buddha in really nice original condition with the original paint still intact. The carved head has great style and detail and is a very decorative piece elegantly mounted on a steel display stand.The rare Buddha dates from the early 19th century circa 1820 and is hand carved in the round and hand painted with beautiful muted shades of ochre, teal blue and black with rouge red detail.
The head is an imposing sculpture and has great style and presence in a room.
This measures 62 cms high overall on the display stand and is 22 cms in diameter.
