This is a charming 19th century oil painting of the Madonna and child painted on canvas circa 1890.The baby Jesus is depicted naked holding the Salvator Mundi in his left hand, his mother Mary with halo, seated in foliage with Bethlehem in the distance.
This is attractively framed in a deep gilt cushion frame that suits the work admirably.
The canvas measures 26 cms by 21 cms.
