Description
This is a beautiful antique Chinese (Qing) botanical watercolour dating from the mid 19th Century. The well executed painting depicts insects and a butterfly surrounded by native flora.The watercolour is in strong gouache colours painted on pith and is presented in a neat gilt frame with a soft raspberry mount. It is in good condition overall (small loss to pith, top right corner) and measures 36 cms by 28 cms overall including the frame.We currently have 3 similar paintings should you be interested in purchasing more than one or the set of four.
