Description

This is pair of beautiful iron bound hand painted Indian shutter doors which date from the mid 19th century, circa 1850. The heavy doors are decorated in pretty pastel shades with floral designs to the panels which are divided by metal bands. The doors have loop handles and a heavy chain and pivot fastening. These doors are rare to find in any condition but these are in really great order.
The doors were possibly custom made for a building or residence but would look stunning anywhere together they make a very nice screen.
They measure 175 cms by 44 cms each.
