Description

This is a charming woolwork embroidery of a songbird on a branch perching among blossoms dating from the mid Victorian period, circa 1850. The embroidery is in beautiful bold and varied colours which have a delightful antique appearance and still retain a good strength of colour. This is beautifully framed in its original burr walnut frame which again has a lovely antique colour and patina.

A really lovely country piece with loads of charm the picture measures 34 cms by 29 cms overall including the frame.
