Description

This is an exceptional Victorian Papier Mache cabinet that is ever so pretty and has the most exquisite detail and colours.

The large cabinet is profusely inlaid throughout with mother of pearl and gilded beautifully. The doors have raised fielded panels with lovely floral designs hand painted and inlaid. The lid also with scene and inlay. The original key is present and the cabinet is fitted out for a multitude of purposes. The upper section for sewing items, padded and prettily papered into useful sections containing two mother of pearl sewing bobbins. The drawers are fitted for jewellery and there is even a writing slope to the bottom section in immaculate condition with stunning colours to the inlaid lid.

Best example I have ever seen.

The cabinet measures 35 cms high 32 cms wide by 22 cms deep.
