The dial has decorative pierced brass spandrels with two cherubs holding a crown aloft and a silvered roman chapter ring. The face is flanked by barley twist columns to the door with a handsome carved crest above with swan neck, central shell, flower head and leaf frieze surmounted by a water gilded ball finial. The two train movement has an anchor escapement that runs beautifully keeping good time and striking with a bell on the hour every hour.
