Description

This is a handsome pair of 19th century bronze Indian recumbent elephants in super order, dating from around 1880. The elephants are substantial in size, cast in bronze and have good detail and attractive posture, holding a candlestick aloft in their trunks. These are an imposing pair with a good patination, they measure 48cm long, 22cm wide and 22cm high.
