Description

This is a really stunning and dramatic large pair of fo dogs, or temple guardians in gilded bronze. These very decorative dogs have a really great look to them. Both stand on all fours on clawed feet and have beautifully gilded wings and collared necks. They stand 59 cms high and are 56 cms long and so are very heavy indeed. The dogs date from the late 19th century, circa 1880 and are in excellent condition with a beautiful colour and patina.
