19th Century Champleve Enamel and Bronze Crucifix

Description
This is a high quality 19th century champleve enamelled brass crucifix mounted on black slate. The piece is in super condition with sharp bold colours and is set to the centre with a portrait miniature of the Virgin Mary painted on porcelain.The holy water stoop beneath and body of the cross are in gilt bronze beautifully inlaid with bold coloured enamels. This is a very attractive piece in excellent condition dating from around 1860.The crucifix measures 35 cms by 25 cms wide.
