Description

This is a really good example of a late Victorian, aesthetic period coal scuttle dating from around 1890. The coal box is in excellent condition, beautifully polished, with a lovely golden glow. The hinged lid has a striking embossed design in the classic aesthetic style with large sunflower. The box is complete with its original shovel with solid ebony handle. This also is complete with its original liner to the box which is in excellent condition so this is a very practical piece ready for use or display.


The coal scuttle measures 40 cms long by 40 high and 27 wide.
