19th Century Anglo Indian Table Box

Description
This is a fine example of an antique Anglo Indian inlaid hardwood table box. The box dates from around 1880 and is beautifully and intricately inlaid with mixed metal stringing and lighter woods. The inside of the box has a deep blue lining and a golden birds eye maple to the lid.This is raised on bracket feet and is quite a substantial in size, measuring 43 cms long by 34 cms wide and is 11 cms in height.
