Description
This is a charming Japanese Meiji white metal elephant inkwell which dates from around 1880. The young elephant is very well modelled and is seated with his trunk sticking out and his front legs raised. He is wearing a decorative head cover which is hinged and lifts to reveal the inkwell housing (minus ceramic liner). The elephant is in excellent condition complete with his bone tusks and measures 13 cms high, 13 cms deep and 10 cms wide.UK insured delivery is £12
