Description

This is a really charming early Victorian pine box in lovely order dating from around 1842. The chest retains its original painted finish with the date still visible to the front and the remnants of the owners name painted below. The paintwork has a lovely soft characterful look and the original strapwork and solid handmade hinges are sound and intact. This has its original lock and lifting handle to the lid still present as is the lidded candle box to the interior.
The chest has nice neat proportions measuring 38cm by 26cm by 22cm.
