Description
This is a very good quality 19th century white onyx mantle clock with superb champleve enamel detail and good gilt bronze ormolu mounts dating from 1880. The clock is in beautiful condition running perfectly. The pretty dial has a champleve enamelling with lovely bold colours and individual porcelain numerals in excellent condition. The clock is a gold medal winner from the Paris exposition of 1880 and is stamped to the movement.A very pretty and tasteful mantle clock with nice neat proportions measuring 24 cms high by 22 cms wide by 14 cms deep.
