Description

This is a super 19th century Portuguese travelling chest in absolutely stunning condition with a beautiful aesthetic style that dates it to around 1870. The chest is covered in an embossed decorative material that is timbered and beautifully studded throughout and has its original polished brass lock plates and carrying handles to the ends. This still has its original paper lining complete and in good order and the manufacturers label to the lid and their stamp to the base. This is a fine size for a piece of feature furniture such as a coffee table as it has good proportions measuring 100 cms by 50 cms by 50 cms.
