Description

This fine 19th century marble clock garniture is a top quality example in stunning condition. The solid marble garniture is adorned throughout with beautiful gilt bronze ormolu detail. The clock has a portico design with attractive cast bronze sunburnt pendulum and pretty hand painted porcelain dial. The fine lion to the centre is a solid cast bronze and the heavy side urns are in solid polished Barroda green marble.
The clock movement is again top quality by the esteemed maker Fritz Marti and was a gold medal medal winner at the 1900 Paris Exposition, being stamped to the back plate of the clock.
The clock has been overhauled and serviced by our horologist and has runs beautifully striking a lovely tone on a bell on the hour and half hour. The clock measures 36 cms high 28 cms wide by 14 cms deep. The urns are 30 cms high 12 cms wide by 10 cms deep.
A very handsome set in outstanding condition.
